Happy Aquarium turtles come in two different species and at least eight different colors. Of these, there are two turtles to adopt and two more that you will have to use pearls to get. In order to make a pair of turtles that will be able to mate, you will have to have the adopted and the pearl turtle from a particular species.
Happy Aquarium River Turtle
The Happy Aquarium river turtle is slightly larger than the other type in the game. If you want to get the river turtles, there are two ways to get started. The easiest way is to adopt a turtle that is posted by a neighbor friend on the game. The orange river turtle is the adoptable one. The blue river turtle can be purchased for pearls. If you mate these turtles, you will get either a jade or onyx color. Once you raise the babies to adulthood, you will be able to use them for mating if you have a male and female of the same color. The babies that result from mating the offspring will be the same color.
Happy Aquarium Sea Turtle
The Happy Aquarium sea turtle are small, cute little turtles with some big fins for navigating the ocean. Much like the other type, you can get the sea turtles in two different ways. The green sea turtle can be adopted from friends and you will have to pay pearls to get the pink sea turtle. Mating these turtles will result in an orange or purple sea turtle, although there have been reports of green babies as well. You can mate the resulting offspring if you get a male and female of the same color, and these babies will also come out the same color.
Happy Aquarium Turtle Mating
There are a few tips worth mentioning when it comes to turtle mating in Happy Aquarium. As mentioned before, you will need to adopt one turtle and pay pearls for the other to make a mating pair. Depending on which turtle you select to initiate a mating session, you may have to pay more pearls to mate them. If you select the turtle that you paid pearls for, then you will be asked to pay pearls to mate. If you select the adopted turtle, then you will be able to pay coins to mate them. It is unclear whether the offspring may be different depending on whether you have paid pearls or coins. The offspring that can mate can do so with coins, not pearls, no matter which one you select.
